A few weeks ago I made a quilt for my Mum for her birthday, it is the Rain or Shine quilt from The Practical Guide to Patchwork.


I used fabrics from the Picnic &amp; Fairground collection by Denyse Schmidt that was/is available at Spotlight.  Not the sort of fabrics I would normally buy but I thought my Mum would like them.

They took just over a week but there was lot of car knitting involved.The yarn is Fleece Artists Somoko and I used 2.75mm needles.Feeling a bit "meh" about these.  They look okay on but they are seriously ugly off (all that ribbing).  I think my issue is with the yarn, the stitch definition is not that good.
