Sudoku Ruffle Skirt

|

Pattern:  "Sudoku" Ruffle Skirt from Ottobre 01/2009
Fabrics:  Various quilting leftovers in stash

The other day I started out making a Redondo for Emma (I can't believe I still haven't made one yet), accidentally cut a piece wrong and somehow ended up making a skirt for Jess.  A few of the Crafty Mamas girls had made skirts using this pattern and I thought it would be a good use for some of the fabric in my growing scrap bag.

Emma likes this as well so she'll probably also wear it (she loves to dress herself in Jessica's clothes), there isn't a lot of difference in their waists.  It's good for twirling, I had a few shots of Jess dancing around but there was a bit too much knicker flashing.

The only change I made was to make the waistband thicker, I thought it was a bit too thin for the weight of the skirt.  The bottom ruffle was 7 metres long, I really need to invest in a ruffling foot!
