Retreating

|

This weekend just gone was our third annual Crafty Mamas retreat. What a blast! Beautiful ladies, great food (and lots of it LOL) and many, many laughs. What a shame we have to wait another year for the next one.

Here is a round up of what I managed to get done.

Pattern: Sprout from Make It Perfect
Fabric: Cotton and Flannel from Bargain Box (who knew they still existed!) and Spotlight.

I've been wanting to make one of these for ages but could never find an outer fabric I liked, it looks a bit nightie-ish so I hope a pair of boots changes that.

Pattern: Eleven and One from Ottobre 1/2011
Fabrics: Lycra French Terry and Hilco knit from Crafty Mamas

I think this one might need a velour for the front, the lycra french terry is beautiful to sew.

Pattern: Farbenmix Amelie
Fabric: Tamarama from Crafty Mamas

The Amelie pattern is a favourite in this house!

Pattern: Farbenmix Svenja
Fabrics: Toadstool knit and Stella for the arms both from Crafty Mamas

This is such a cute pattern and I *love* the toadstool fabric.

I also decided to have a go at a bit of crochet.

Pattern: Toadstool Patches from Crafty Mamas
Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fine

I need to get a different red and probably another green for these, while they were fiddly they were pretty easy to crochet. I also didn't do such a good job of shaping the toadstool when I stitched it to the patch. Cute pattern. :)

Finally I started a quilt.

I'm so ready to get rid of the rest of my Farmer's Market fabric, I'm really well and truly sick of it. I had cut these out to make another quilt but I decided instead to chop again and go for a circle quilt to break the colour up a bit. I think I have sewn about 15 circles with another 30 or so to go, obviously this one will be a bit of a long term project!

Really love the Amelie, oooh and how cute are the little toadstool patches. What a patience you have. The quilt is going to be awesome by the look of it
