The other day I finished the quilt I started sewing at the retreat a few weeks ago. I thought I would stretch this out but I kind of got on a roll, I think having nothing else cut out to sew helped.
I used this tutorial. I also quilted either side of the seams in the circles. The fabrics were originally pieced to make another quilt many, many months ago but I didn't like the look of it once I laid it out. I thought this pattern would be a nice way to break the colour up and I only have a little bit of Farmer's Market left now.
I used some of the scraps left after cutting the circles to make the back strips, I'm sure some of my craft retreat friends will be happy to know I had very waste left as they were pretty horrified watching me hack circles out of the fabric pieces I had.
Jess has already claimed this, I'm sure it won't take long for me to be sorry I used so much white. It's a quilt though and it's meant to be used, I will probably just have to wash it regularly.

You might not believe me but I was thinking just this morning about how your progress would be on that quilt. I am impressed. It looks gorgeous. Helen will be able to sleep at night now too ;)
