A Catch Up Post

|
Well I've been a bit slack with the blog lately so I guess this is a catch up post.

I've been making myself a few new tops.

The white one is an Ottobre pintuck top (yes I know you can't really see it) and the front one is a Farbenmix Fano. I love the Fano pattern and I've already made another in pink stella.

I was going to make the long sleeve version but I figured I could wear another top underneath while it's still cold and then be able to wear this in summer.

Can I just say how boring sewing for me looks? It makes me realise how much I love playing around with embroideries on the kid's clothes.

Onto some knitting. Yes this is another Milo (love this pattern!)

The yarn is some Monsoon Designs yarn I have had sitting in my stash for ages, I just love this colourway. I still have another skein left and I'd love to make a hat.

This sock is sadly no more.

The yarn is The Knittery Chubby Sock that I dyed earlier this year and the pattern is My Vampire Boyfriend from Knitty. I had this pattern in my head when I dyed the yarn and I still love it but ugh this sock looked awful on! I bit the bullet and decided to frog it, I knew I was never going to knit the second one and I'll use the yarn for something else.

Finally my husband and I also managed to get a few days away in Surfer's Paradise last week and I made a trip to Tangled Yarns. Here's my haul. :)

I made sure I had a list otherwise I knew I would be hopeless. I was so glad I managed to work out which bus/train I had to catch to get there especially as that afternoon after my visit I got sick and spent the rest of my holiday in bed with tonsilitis!

At least I had a nice view of the beach from my sick bed.

I am so sorry that you were sick but you obviously got some serious shopping consolation happening at Tangled Yarns. I'ma thinking that I am glad that I didn't know that place existed when I went to Queensland last year. Love that Fano. A Stella brown one coming up for me soon too I think. ;)

Shame about the sickness - but what a view and at least you had some goodies from TY's to play with:)

Shame about the socks - no point having one ugly but warm foot though.
