My friend Sara of willow & moo tagged me the other day and since it's been a while since I posted it was a good shove to get me going.

1. Which pattern/vintage style have you been thinking about lately?
Where do I start? There's too many to mention LOL. I have so many patterns that haven't even made it out of the packet yet but hopefully up next is a pair of Roberta pants. I love Farbenmix patterns I think they are fantastic. Too many patterns though, not enough time.

2. What's the one place you want to visit that you've never been to before?
Hmmm, just one? Close to home I'd love to go to Tasmania, overseas pretty much anywhere!

3. How do you relax?
Sewing (of course), reading, knitting, surfing the net and watching TV.

4. What is your favourite holiday?
Our holidays are generally pretty close to home. As our kids are still so young (5, 4 and 2) anywhere we can drive to pretty easily is good (as anyone with kids knows they need a lot of stuff). Luckily we have access to timeshare which means wherever we go is pretty family friendly, it's getting easier though as we slowly start to drop things like portacots and prams!

New lovelies

5. What is one sewing skill you want to learn/try out?
I would definitely like to learn to draft a pattern... one day!

6. Can you knit/crochet? Any other crafting talents?
I can knit and find it really relaxing, I love having something I can easily pick up and put down. I think that's a big appeal of socks and also that I get something practical that I can use at the end. I enjoy knitting things for my kids but generally it's 50/50 whether they'll wear it. I've tried crochet once and liked that too but haven't really practised/tried it a lot. Other crafts? I used to make jointed teddy bears, I have a cross stitch that's been on the go for about 4 years (sorry Mum), quilting, drawing and painting pre-kids and I've done a little bit of yarn dyeing.

7. What garment/accessory do you wear the most?
Oh the shame but trackie dacks! I live in them around the house - though I do pull the jeans on for school and kinder pick ups!

8a. How much time do you spend reading blogs?
Probably no more than half an hour a day. I read most of them in my google reader, I have way too many in there.

8b. Your motto/mantra?
No motto or mantra for me, maybe I need one?

The results of my bag sewing frenzy for Kelly at Tangled Yarns for the Brisbane Art & Textile Expo

If you've made it this far I'm surprised! Consider yourself tagged and let me know so I can come read your answers. :)
