Winter Socks

|
I've been getting ready to get started on some socks for winter.

The bottom two on the right (the yellow and rust coloured) are Malabrigo sock yarn (yum!) and I've also been dyeing. After making quite a few pairs of socks in variegated yarns I think the more solid coloured yarns are for me. This time I decided to get some Landscape dyes and give them a go as I wasn't happy with the results I was getting before and I really like how these have turned out.

The top two (the brown and blue) are merino sock from Yarn Workshop and the bottom two (the green and red) are The Knittery Chubby Sock. The chubby sock really sucked up the colour, they are both very intense! So far I've only managed to pick out My Vampire Boyfriend Socks for the red yarn, the rest I haven't decided.

I am far from being a wool dyeing expert, but I found the Landscape dye worked really well. We only dyed solid colours and did it in the microwave. Easy peasy. The wool was for the kids to do weaving and finger knitting, so I wasn't stressed about it

Can't wait to see the socks that you know. Oh and I KNOW I need to check Will's measurements.
